Projected light drawing across a stone gallery wall in a dark concrete space

01

Question

Can a city be read the way a book is read — in fragments, out of order, by walking?

02

Idea

Treat the street as the interface. Every marker is a doorway into a story that only exists in that exact place.

03

World

A visual world built from municipal signage, archaeological drawing conventions and contemporary wayfinding — rational structure holding poetic content.

04

Making

  • Field walks and photographic surveys across six Athens neighbourhoods
  • Archive research with local historical collections
  • Typographic system tested at street scale in raking daylight
  • Prototype of the mobile narrative built and tested on location

05

Experience

A visitor finds a marker, opens a story, and walks to the next. The route is never prescribed; the city assembles itself differently for each person.

06

Result

A repeatable framework of physical markers, a digital narrative engine and an identity system that scales from a single street to an entire district.

07

Reflection

The most interesting cultural work happens when technology becomes almost invisible and the place does the talking.
